Hi, I'm Rebecca.
My appreciation for how important nutrition is for health and sports performance is rooted in my experience at University. Whilst studying Philosophy in Manchester, I swam competitively with an intense full-time swimming and studying schedule. The pressures of juggling competing, training and life outside of sport informs how and why I coach. Since shifting my focus away from competing I have worked as a Chef, a Coach, studied with Mac-Nutrition Uni (MNU) and trained in Counselling. I draw upon all of this to help clients with their food choices and acknowledge that what we eat is an intersection of bio-psycho-social factors.
My particular interests include environmental impact of food choices; how to navigate being a plant-based athlete; RED-S; body image; navigating appearance ideals, life transitions (e.g. retiring athletes) and psychotherapy.
